La Marzocco was a proud machine sponsor of the recent Coffee in Good Spirits Throwdown which took place on Thursday the 18th of March Prefab Hall in Wellington.
A stellar line-up up barista-mixologists faced off in an epic battle to create one of kind coffee cocktails, starting with a warm round, advancing to a cold round, with only the best of the night moving forward to the final throwdown, which was a twist on the classic espresso martini made using the Linea Mini.
The Finalists:
Katie Knight, from Franks Coffee in Wellington and Sam Low from Auckland made it to the final round and faced off to see who could create the most delicious espresso martini.
The final decision was tough one, splitting the judges 2 to 1 leading Sam Lowe to take home the $1000 cash prize.
This NZSCA event was hosted by Acme and supported by La Marzocco, Cameo Syrups, AMC Roastery Supply and Garage Project.
