La Marzocco has obtained
the B Corp™ certification
The “B Corporation Certification” is licensed by the private non-profit organization B Lab to companies that meet B Lab’s required standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
To this end, B Lab created the B Impact Assessment (“BIA”), a free, confidential online tool that, based on the standards defined by B Lab, analyzes and evaluates a company’s impact across five areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers.
The minimum score required is 80 points. This is followed by a review process during which the company must demonstrate the accuracy of its claims in order to obtain confirmation of the rating.
La Marzocco has always operated in accordance with its core values, balancing the wellbeing of its workers, the community, and the environment with the delivery of reliable, dependable equipment, while ensuring our operations remain consistent with the high expectations of our customers.
The company achieved B Corp™ Certification through a multi-year journey: formalizing the monitoring of its impacts and structuring ethical business practices through evidence-based processes, it ensured full alignment between its mission and the rigorous international standards of accountability and transparency required by the B Corp™ movement.
Why did La Marzocco decide to pursue B Corp™ Certification?
La Marzocco chose to pursue B Corp™ certification to formally institutionalize its core values, ensuring that every business practice is strictly aligned with an ethical and responsible vision. This decision has made it possible to systematize and showcase the numerous sustainability initiatives already in place, while providing a rigorous framework for identifying and implementing new strategies for continuous improvement.
In an increasingly competitive market, this certification serves as a clear point of differentiation, allowing the brand to assert its leadership not only through the excellence of its products but also through the excellence of its socio-environmental impact. Furthermore, this commitment reflects a desire to harmonize with a network of stakeholders increasingly focused on sustainability; within the coffee industry, many of La Marzocco’s partners and clients have already embraced the B Corp™ model, sharing the common goal of generating positive, systemic value throughout the entire supply chain.
