In a recent feature, Bean Scene Magazine explored the thinking behind Jay, our latest grinder designed around a simple idea: high performance through simplicity.

Early testing with café partners found exceptional grind texture with reduced clumping, clearer flavour, and more consistent shot times. The design focuses on real bar workflow from the magnetic burr carrier that makes cleaning fast, to a burr system designed to minimise retention and reduce waste when dialling in.

“The quality of ground coffee was exceptional,” says Sam Colvin of Coffee Supreme in Australia “The texture of the grinds and zero clumping was astonishing. There was also a significant difference in flavour clarity and more consistent shot times. Channelling was reduced, shot times were more consistent, while the espresso flavour and texture were beautiful. It’s also the best designed and engineered grinder for servicing by far. Everything was super simple to remove.”
